(Product: 1Gig-of Internet Bandwidth. Via Two 2.5Gig DWDM Routes along the east and west coast of Florida to 2 Atlanta Colocation POPs)
Situation: A colocation facility, needed to provide 'Best-In-Class' Business Continuity Service Level Agreements for their customer mission-critical operations. A 120 mile sonnet ring from the Customer Facility cross-connected to two OC-12 (633Mbp) bandwidth ports at a Peering Point (Miami NAP of the Americas).
The transport ring experienced too many failures. The peering facility and the cross-connections were in the middle, not responsive and mistrusted.
This resulted in too many finger pointing situations and resulted in difficulty resolving outages.
Action: Proposed delivered and serviced front and center 10+ engineer conference calls, and monitored the progress during provisioning of the following... Replaced two of three failure points with a direct fiber optic build to the customer’s premise directly from the carrier’s IP network outside of the state of Florida. Thus, the sonet ring was replaced with two diverse DWDM 2.5gig routes that traversed the east and west coast of Florida to two separate Atlanta, Georgia Carrier Colo POPs. The two OC-12’s (622Mbps. Ea.) were replaced with 1-gig of bandwidth access from two different routers providing 500Mbps each.
Result: Tremendous increase in reliability, great new advantages in the ability to monitor their network, and much quicker response time to repair any instances.
This design provided a selling point in allowing the colo center to tout its SLA’s with much higher credibility to influence it sales and service.
3/Yr $150k contract, one of the world's largest supplier of pre-engineered steel buildings.
Situation: Company left itself in a difficult landlord situation was ill prepared to move into a growth situation with an antiquated phone system. The challenge was for the firm to physically move their HQ, replace their legacy voice system with newer technology, and integrate 3 new and 2 existing external offices on the same platform under a budget constraint. It was necessary to review requirements and deliver a solution in short order.
Action: Provide a Hosted VoIP solution that would integrate all offices onto one dialing platform, with (ACD) call distribution for sales leads and support.
Result: Delivered a solution without the huge equipment capital expense to outfit 5 offices. This solution became more manageable through the carrier portal with ability to control changes in dialing plans and changes to call treatments at the click-of-a-button. Reduced administration resources and update responsibilities to the platform.
10/Yr, $2.12million Outside Plant Dark Fiber Deployment
Situation: The hospital’s distributed offices had no connectivity between them. There was a need to enhance the hospital's ability to collaborate and connect all facilities for both data and voice applications. It became paramount in order to advance the hospital into a first rate entity.
Action: To provide connectivity that would not only enhance the capability for better connectivity between facilities but to enhance both the reliability and capacity to fulfill future telemedicine requirement demands, as well.
Result: The solution delivered 12 direct dark-fiber runs from all facilities to the Hospital Headquarters. With customer provided electronics the solution completed a best-in-class reliable design for the hospital’s brand and medical compliancy.
